The Dream of the 90s

The late-1990s and early aughts was a golden age for print photography. Photographers had the freedom to experiment with daring styles during “editorial” shoots. As a Prop Stylist, I was fortunate to work with talented photographers like Mike Ruiz, who was introduced to me by renowned wardrobe stylist L'wren Scott. One of our most memorable collaborations took place at the Salton Sea, a desolate, otherworldly location near Palm Springs, CA. It's eerie beauty, reminiscent of a post-apocalyptic wasteland, provided the perfect backdrop for our bold, experimental shoot with Joel West. The resulting images were published in BLUE Magazine in 2002.
